The Psalter - Dog Friendly Hotel Sheffield

Review of dog friendly hotel The Psalter in Sheffield

The human is from Sheffield so sometimes we go to visit her family. Rather than imposing on their hospitality, this time we stayed at The Psalter Hotel which is in the Nether Edge district of Sheffield, approximately 2 miles from the city centre.

A Norfolk terrier dog sits on a brown leather chair at a wooden bar table in a modern pub. The bar is stocked with bottles and hanging glasses.

The Psalter has a stylish cocktail bar and a lovely restaurant where pooches are welcome to join the humans and the staff are super friendly.

We stayed in a King Suite which was super spacious and comfortable. I had a basket of goodies waiting for me, including treats, a bowl, towel and poo bags.

The room also had great views of the city, with low window sills - perfect for nosy little terriers!

Eating and drinking I do well - sharing not so much! The hotel has recently been taken over by one of our favourite chefs whose food we first experienced at Rafters Riverside back in 2023.

Tom has brought the same high level of cuisine to Psalter so it's a perfect destination for all foodies.

We stayed on a Sunday so were treated to Sunday Roast which was exceptional (I got to try the beef). The cauliflower roast for vegans is amazing!

Breakfast is served in the lounge area and I was brought my very own sausage.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Psalter and recommend to any of our doggie friends who are visiting Sheffield.

A short drive from the hotel is Sheffield Botanical Gardens which is a great place to explore with your dog and meet up with some pals.

Within the gardens, you will find Joni which is a wonderful cafe serving delicious brunches and lunches.
