Relax and recharge at dog friendly Relais Cooden Beach hotel in Bexhill-on-Sea

A Norfolk terrier dog with a green leash stands happily in front of "The Relais Cooden Beach" entrance, set against a clear blue sky.

We had the pleasure of staying at The Relais Cooden Beach hotel which is a fabulous dog friendly hotel, situated right on the beach at Bexhill-on-Sea.

A Norfolk terrier in a blue harness sits on a wood shelf beside a large orange planter with vibrant flowers. Leafy patterned wallpaper behind.

The hotel has vibrant decor for perfect pics and the staff gave us a warm welcome before showing us to our room.

Our room had it's own verandah and a perfect view out to sea.

Norfolk terrier in blue harness sniffs a box labeled "DOGHOUSE" with treats and a pink ball on a wooden table. A floral cushion is in the background.

I'm always delighted to discover a little something special waiting for me! My Doghouse box had treats (yum), a ball (fun) and some poop bags (these excite the humans).

Chocolate-covered strawberries on a black slate plate, dusted with powdered sugar, garnished with mint leaves and small flowers. Warm, inviting setting.

Apart from the poop bags, the humans had another special treat waiting in the room for them.

After a quick explore and a much needed snooze, we headed to the restaurant for dinner.

Dogs can dine with their humans in the cosy lounge area which is alongside the main restaurant.

The menu had plenty of choice and the humans made those noises they make when they are eating something good. I get told off for doing that!

With all our bellies full, it was time to get our PJs on and snuggle up on the bed that was provided for me in the room. I slept really well (as did the humans) and dreamt of sausages.....

Norfolk Terrier with curious eyes looks up at a red bowl filled with food chunks. Wooden floor and chair leg visible in the background.

Dreams can come true!! Not only did I get a sausage for breakfast but also some black pudding.

Breakfast is also served in the lounge with hot food made to order and buffet for all the other bits that humans like. Granola? What the fluff is that all about?

We were very lucky with the weather for March and were able to take advantage of the hotel's location right on the beach.
